So my 2 chicks are now 4 weeks and 1 day old :p They are Wyandottes
What do you think? I hope at least 1 is a hen! Because in total we will have 4 chickens, and I am scared if it are 2 roosters it will be too heavy on the 2 hens, or they will fight each other. We can always get 2 more grown hens though. But still... hope one of them is female. If they are 2 roosters and there is no problem then I just want to keep them.

I know you can never be really sure of the gender, and may be surprised if a hen turns out a rooster or vice versa :p But still I would like to have your opinions.

Chick A has more grey speckles, chick B is whiter

Look for spur developement. Although some hens (I have one!) have spurs, all roosters do. In the early stages, they are just little bumps on the inside of the chick's leg. Also, rooster's combs and wattles often begin to redden before that of the hens. And of course, pecking order. Does one or more chicks appear to be more dominant? Hope I could help -- I can't tell myself from the photos.

What do you think now? :) They are developing so differently although they are born on the same day.

5 weeks old :)

See one already has abit of red on the head, and the other one nothing. Also the one with the red on the head is bigger and has abit of red next to her or his mouth
