Hi, I have had my Goose for almost a year and half she will be 2 years in July. So I thought she was a female I read some don’t start laying till they are fully mature by 2 years of age. Last 6 months she started not wanting us close to the flock she is a singleton. With in the last 2 months she has become very protective and has bite me and my boys she will chase us out of the coop and run when trying to feed them water them ect… she will even attack our German Shepard and yorkie who she didn’t mind them being or laying out by the flock. It all Started when my silkies hatched chicks. So I’m questioning if I have a male now and Lucy isn’t a Lucy lol’ her need to protect the flock more then our rooster is crazy. She use to follow me and allow me to pet her once their were babies it all changed. Is this normal?
