I am trying but now have 4 cages of roos!! and only one pair. Have hatched more and am gonna keep only 1 of the males and the rest??? I guess I can try to eat them, don't know if I can just yet. The scalped one I feel sorry for LOL so might have to keep him

I know, Its harder to think about eat'n them after ya get to know them. Iv always been able cull like a heartless b*****d. It gets easier with time but is never fun. But It does get a bit harder even for me when it comes to my breeders... I talk to them and they get a notch better life than the short term birds in the grow out pens.... When you get ready, post up and we'll walk ya thru the process. From dispatch to grill we can help you here... Its all part of quail. I do have one good friend that does not, will not eat her birds. She has one of the best hearts I'v known. So she has alot of birds that just get old and pass at her house like a old birds home!!!

My DH keeps looking for the "rocking chairs" that I will build, according to him, for all my old hens, any thoughts on how to make them for quail??
