I got this RIR as a chick. I'm guessing the age around 6 weeks.

I got this bantum/EE, age around 5 weeks.

When do they usually start crowing? I'm guessing that I wont know until it crows or lays an egg.

Sadly, I concur with those above. You have two cockerels there.

Whilst crowing can be considered fairly definitive, and will come in due course, pullets will simply not have such large, red combs at such a young age.

Crowing depends on the bird - some crow in a matter of a few weeks, others at a few months of age - but there is no need to wait for a crow to know that both the birds shown are cockerels.
