Malfunction! Hatched with a hooked neck... (pics)

I don't know how else to explain it. It feels like a candy cane, from the base of the neck it curves down and then back up.... will this pass or is this a deformity?

It's active cheeping, but sooooo floppy, because he's top heavy he keeps rolling onto his back (or she), two clutchmates hatched well, another is sorta stuck at the moment, another is just now zipping

I'm sorry and I may be wrong, but I think you might have to cull that chick. That doesn't look like something that will get better, ecspecially if you can feel the bone shaped like a candy cane..

Give it a day or so, but if it does not improve, you know what you need to do. Yolk will last them up to 72 hours.

i wouldnt saqy kill it... unless it starts acting funny and sick like. i would say keep him/her as long as possible and make him/her kind-of a special pet. but of corse you should know when he/she is suffering.

i wouldnt breed it if it survives that terrible little disability! who knows if you did breed him/her it might make the chick have deformity "sorry about my spelling!" too.
