Mallard hen gone...

She is the smallest of them all. She came back around 4pm today, as soon as I walked inside and turned around, there she was...ugh.

Idk what I'm gonna do right now. Lost a duck yesterday to...well, idk, possibly a poisoned mouse. I need to close up the gates, so they cannot go through and onto the driveway. But if the mallard is passing the gates to her nest, I don't want to lock her out or lock her in and then she takes a more risky way out.
I think I didn't tighten the wire enough yesterday after I found the dead duck. They waddled to the pine trees while laughing at me, I'm sure. That's what I call the little quacks and calls they make to each other after a human says or does something to get them chattering.

Roo ain't using his leg much at all today.

Also lost a cichlid fish today. Brought home 7 new ones and I put the bags in to acclimate and lo and behold, a dead fish...what is going on lately....ugh. Awful week so far.
