I suppose I could contact a wildlife rehab but it's unbelievably frustrating that we dont even have a wildlife rehab in the county so simply to get help for an injured animal you find is impossible around here

Maybe after you hopefully get the go ahead from the wildlife department, you can hang up flyers stating if boaters find eggs on their boats to please bring them to you?

Thanks I guess I will try that. It's just frustrating because it would be so easy for me to help the same way (or similar to the way) that a rehab would, but the rehab centers are all about an hour away and usually there's not a lot of time for safe procedures, many boaters could care less and its the difference between tossing them in the water or handing them to me. I guess if that happens I could then call the center, it just usually isnt that simple.

You could become a licensed rehabber and try to obtain the necessary permits.

I'd be willing to bet that they are Mallards.

I've never seen or heard of wild mallards nesting by salt water. All of the dabbling ducks I've seen in marinas in Spring and Summer have been domestics, probably released by owners who didn't want them any more.

From what I understand they posses all the qualities of a wild mallard haha. To clarify the water is brakish, with a rather low salt content.
