This wee love pipped and didn’t progress at all, but I found some interesting things and was hoping for insight if anyone had some!
External pip, but the membrane didn’t look pierced at all when I inspected closer. I wish I’d remembered to see if it was upside down in the egg, I distinctly remember being confused as to what I was looking at as I unpeeled it. Could the membrane reseal or can they pip without puncturing it (if they pipped wrong end for instance)?
Head under left wing
My WTB eggs have had very poor fertility this round. Our head roo passed and they’re not accepting his second, multiple eggs were unfertilised. All other colours had 100% fertility and some 100% hatch rates so far this hatch.
