Mama Cave Brooding Question

I don't have any metal fencing to make the cave. Do you think the box they came in could be adapted, or would the heating pad make it a fire hazard? Just trying on ideas. Thanks for suggestions in advance. I only have 2 babies that I'm picking up Monday.

I remember seeing a pic where someone used a cheapie coated wire dish drainer from the dollar store, you might search for that.

I think you need something open so the heat can radiate through. Solid like cardboard would block the heat.
