The first three are looking wonderful- great results so far considering what they have been through...Hope you still get a few more to hatch...

What a wonderful success story this has been.

Here's the happy dance for baby #3!

The first two are looking so good! Can't wait to see #3 all fluffed out! I never thought to ask, but are you going to be able to keep them? Or will you be finding homes? LOL, I would have a very hard time giving that batch away. I think I would cry.

Nah, we got 120 acres of farmland and woods! I can have all the animals I can afford!! YIPPEEE!!!! We just raised 4 pekin ducks and 6 weeder geese who are already running around the fenced in goat area which goes deep into the woods. Papaduck is with them too so in a couple of months his beautiful kids will join them!

Can we say land envy! LOL. My plan was to buy a lot that was 179 acres, backed by BLM. Mind you it didn't have a house, p/s/w, nothing. But I figured how bad could it be to live in a tent while we build with zero money. LOL, only half kidding. I walked the property with a very patient realator 4 times. OH well, we ended up with 10, still next to BLM though. Its a pretty place, major fixer, but good land. Rambling, sorry

Glad to hear you get to keep them!

Well, this is land that's been in hubby's family since the late 1800s!!! The old farmhouse is over 100 years old. We built a manufactured home behind it to live in because we realized pretty quick the old house couldn't be renovated enough to make it livable. Now it's our chicken coop and nursery and storage area!

Any place that's in the country where the neighbors are far enough away that you can't hear them is a GOOD PLACE TO LIVE in my book!

Wow! How cool to be connected to your husbands past like that! I really want to see pics of the farm house chicken coop! That is cool! My neighbors are great! So, even though I can see them I don't mind. they have larger pieces of land, and our dogs are allowed to roam (we were given permission) onto the neighboring parcel. We are allowed to ride/hike through their properties as well, so I can in no way complain. We open ours up to them as well. It's pretty cool. Life tends to put you where you need to be, I think.
