Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Is this one sufficient? All the others have a shut off period after three hours with no bypass. This one does not state if it shuts off or not.

That's the one I used!
Worked just fine for me. It's smaller though so pay attention to how many chicks you have. I had 7 and they used that until they were about...5 weeks old, after that they were too big to even try to fit under all at once.

Edit: And no, it does not auto shut-off. It stays on until you switch it off. I went with this one because if the power were to shut off, when it goes back on, the heating pad automatically turns back on to the setting it was on before rather than staying off until it is turned back on.

My chicks looks about like that! I'm home now and switching them over to this, so excited.

I have six so hopefully they will cuddle under this ok.

Thanks!!!

Thanks guys!

Don't forget to 'show' them where the new heat source is.
If they're used to a light they might not realize they need to get under something to get warm now instead of just ambling around under the light.
But natural instinct is on your side there. :)
