Does anybody have any good ideas of what to use as the frame? Also could you include pictures if possible of any possible sturdy frames?

I am on mobile version. That is great to know! I will go look on my computer later when I have time. Thank you!If you're on the 'desktop' version, you can go to the upper right hand sidebar and view all the images.
Not sure how to do that on mobile version.
I just used some 1/2" hardware cloth for mine. I covered all of the edges with masking tape, but something a little thicker like duct tape would probably be better. My chicks have not hurt themselves on it though, so it works well enough. I thought I had pics of the wire itself, but I can't find them. I bent the wire to shape and put the heating pad on top of it and a towel on top of that. Here are the chicks standing on top of it. It's sturdy enough that they don't smash it down.Does anybody have any good ideas of what to use as the frame? Also could you include pictures if possible of any possible sturdy frames?
Aww your chicks are so cute!I just used some 1/2" hardware cloth for mine. I covered all of the edges with masking tape, but something a little thicker like duct tape would probably be better. I can try to get a pic of the wire tomorrow, but the chickies are sleeping right now

The only thing I would say is that if it's flexible enough to move up and down when they move against it, it's probably going to be too flexible. The chicks, especially when they get a little bit bigger, will spend a lot of time on top of it, napping, playing "king of the mountain", and jumping up and down. So make absolutely sure it can't come down or sag down on the chicks below.
