Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

Quote: That'll be fun to change out every day or two.
Kinda looks like a 'rubber room'....lol...all cushed out, so no one falls and bruises their widdle heads.

ETA. I used pee pads once, they'd try to scratch on it, get their little toenails stuck on the fabric and about flip themselves over...one actually did.

So, my dumb little darlings will pop into warmng cave to scratch and look durng the day, but when I went down to check on them, they were huddled in a pile in a corner on top of the heating pad! I picked up each sleepy chick and put them one by one into the cave and they stayed put, as long as I stood there. Sheesh!

I'd be wary of using scotch tape in the brooder. I see that as suicide method 102. It wouldn't take them too long to scratch it up enough to get pieces of it off, which then could cause airway obstruction when they try to eat those little translucent treats.

Sure, you had to say something! now one of those little buggers will try it.

Up until you mentioned this scratching has been limited to the feed box...
