Cobbles together a lean-to type deal for now. Will have wire to create a proper set up in a bit but they figured it out and it's a cozy 91 in there right now.

I wasn't sure if it was a fire hazard considering I literally just taped the heating pad to a piece of cardboard hahaha!

I wouldn't keep the lean to very long. The idea behind the MHP cave is that it mimics a hen, close to the heat source.

I had 7 and they used that until they were about...5 weeks old, after that they were too big to even try to fit under all at once.

They shouldn't need heat after 4 weeks anyway, they should be fully feathered by then.

At that point I transitioned them to the outside, which is still quite frigid here so I left it just in case, because I am a worrisome first timer xD

Couldn't get my hands on wire tonight but I altered it a bit and they seem snug and happy.
