Mama hen hatched 5 chicks.

Not having any progress as it seems today we are going backwards on progress. I am 50/50 on putting out of misery or keep at it. I need advice on people who have dealt with wry neck. 😕

Thank you and Mama will not go back in the coop so I have a heat lamp for the chicks. She is just pacing the coop clucking I cannot get my hands on her. She's not being the brightest.
Wait until dark to catch her. Chickens can't see in the dark. I just hold a flashlight behind me for a little light.

She actually went into my coop with my pet chickens. I didn't want to mix up my game chickens with my french Maran's but they took onto her like they loved her so I will just leave her there. I guess because they see her every day while free ranging. So my chicks have been under a heater by themselves doing great.

I think you should create a second thread for wry neck and see if you can get any new advice. I am not sure at what point you should let the chick go.

If you are feeding anything other than chick starter, baby chickie needs grit. :)

Your hen is beautiful. I'm surprised she ditched the babies but not surprised shes angry at you haha. My game hens are fiesty when broody.

I have grit, starter crumble and scrambled eggs along with nutri drench water with cut up fine greens. Still no progress.

And she would go back in If I let her but it's easier for me to take care of them without being attacked everytime I try to replace water and all. I don't blame her but it's hard to deal with.
