Mama hen hatched 5 chicks.

I wanted to update this morning a week ago I put her back in the coop with her siblings and 2 days ago still no improvement but she was eating and drinking great. Went out this morning to change the water out and she is almost completely normal she is up straight running with chicks with just a slight little difference. I have been keeping poultry cell in their water along with chick starter eggs grit greens and such. I'm sp happy she is better!

So today upon going to change feed out I noticed a major set back. It was stading head completly under it's body and I noticed one eye looks funky. Crop is empty but I have noticed it's still slightly underweight to the rest but has gotten bigger. I'm wondering if it's Mareks?

I'm so saddened I thought we were in the clear I made another thread to get advice but at this point I think it's suffering and should put him to rest. I've never dealt with chick illnesses before so I didn't wanna give up

I've read this thread and I agree. You did a great job but now, it's time to take a difficult but necessary step. Good luck and rest easy knowing you did a great thing in giving the chick the best you had. Take care.

Thank you when my husband gets home he will put it out of misery. For now I have him comfortably wrapped up asleep.
