Mama hens

I have a silkie hen sitting on eggs. Will chickens only sit on eggs if they are fertile or just sit to sit. Please help.

sit only because she is broody so every time she goes broody put some eggs under it .

Well she has laid 5 eggs and she is sitting dose this mean they are fertile or just eggs

if u havr rooster can reach it most time , eggs majority of that eggd will be already fertiled

A broody Silky hen will sit on fake egg's

If you do not have any fertile egg's and you want chicks
now is the time to get some fertile egg's
