Come to find out that my “screech” owls are actually common barn owls.. I assumed screech owl because of the screeching but apparently common barn owls screech! I did not know that .. what made me curious was the size... I knew screech owls (the ones I’ve seen) are rather small... and when I saw these big ole owls I was like ... so I did some research and found out.. but I’ll take any owl I can get!

How are your sons taking it? Mistakes do happen

They were pretty upset.. they were practically lap chickens for them.. Charred, Taco, and Cheese(jersey,Australorp, orpington)

These new ones seem really nice and mellow so hoping they work good for the kids.

I ended up opening the new girls cage and blocked off a corner so they could stretch safely from Bbq and Toasted(they're the aggressors this time and trying to get them through the cage) also the little bantams are adorable! They look like puffballs! And Derpette looks like a floating yellow head, such dark feathers! Salt and Pepper love to herd them and show them the ropes! Salt says I gotta go through him to the cute bantys.

Melting in the Texas sunlight...

Babies and new girls corner... these girls are curious about everything and they're super sweet... but also scared. I locked up brooder again and I gave the run around corner to them so they could stretch better.

Toasted is HUGE she can be a jerk... but she's hilarious too.. if someone is trying to pick on her dhe just sits on them!!
