My mother-in-law said that many years ago she bought some powder or solution with instructions to make mana eggs. She said you hard boil the eggs, and then soak them in this solution and they come out looking some what marbled - and over time the egg inside dries out and then rattles when you shake the egg.

I tried googling mana eggs, but there is apparently some game using mana eggs and that's all I could find.

Has anyone ever heard of this and made them? If so, can you please share some information on it and where I might find this powder or solution needed?

    Many thanks,
    Penny
