Manners Question Mens Hats

Never understood why anyone would WANT to advertise that they've been in the looney bin and still adhere to the dress code.

Also makes it very difficult to run. Same reason I dislike pencil skirts.

Believe it or not, many employers expecting many guys not to wear hats and droopy drawers, it is a liability and work hazard. If you were in a cold factory or setting, sure hats are allowed but there is a time you must take them off. Like the lunch room, it is respectful. The only exceptions are the people with religious ties. Jahovah's Witnesses, no, they do not wear burkas or skullcaps. No "socks" or nets allowed unless if you are serving food or work for a fast food place.

If I tried to wear a hat in the house or at the dinner table, my old man would have knocked me out from under it! He wouldn't have asked me to take it off! He figured that I should know better! I didn't forget after the first time, I can assure you!!!!

I f I wear a Baseball style hat the bill goes in the front and straight out, not sideways or bass akwards and taught at a young age to take it off for the national anthym and indoors. I don't wear a "hoodie" but I do wear a hooded sweatshirt and the hood is up only when it's cold out side not in the truck while driving. I'm not a horse so I don't need blinders. I don't have to look like a "gangsta" either. As far as hiring droopy drawers, they're to busy either holding them up with one hand or they're pulling them up all day.

Hats off inside the house all of the time and inside businesses which would also toss you out for having no shoes/shirt on....and outside during the National Anthem and during prayer which may occur at an outdoor event.

Definition of hat...anything that covers the head regardless of shape, size or material. This includes ball caps, cowboy hats and yes....beanies.

Can you tell that I have one of those teenage sons who must be given precise directions to avoid loop holes. LOL

**And...yes you must stand for the Pledge. After you are 18 you do not have to put your hand on your heart durign it, but if you wanna eat at my table and sleep under my roof, you better have it on there when I can see ya.**

Amen. I once removed the ball cap of a man during the national anthem at a high school football game. Embarrased the heck out of my daughter, but I got my point across.

Not only do they not remove their hats, they wear them 3 sizes too large, and tuck their ears inside. Then, to make the ballcap absolutely useless, they hang the brim off the side of their head.

When we lived in Texas, the cowboys used to wear their hats in the theaters. To me, that was very rude.

I always take my hat off on the rare occasion that I wear one. They taught us that in the Army.

By the way. Military don't remove hats outside for any reason except to put on a gas mask.

They just don't want their lady with her GIANT Texas hair being the one getting the popcorn hurled at her... tends to stick with all that hairspray...

Says the Texan that does her own hair with 1.25" clippers all over.
