Maran s????

We had a women tell us they had pullets. When we asked what breeds she insisted they were pullets. Told her i am aware of that but are they..... And listed a few breeds. She said pullets is the breed we are selling.

All the light ones are cockerels
All the dark ones are pullets

Ok, the darker chicks with pea comes are not marans (Not full blood any way) The older lighter chicks look to be Marans but I'm seeing some cockerals there only the French cuckoo maran have feathered legs the American variety do not you would need to post individual pics of them to see if we can get them sexed for you sweety

Im a bit confused everyone else said the dark ones are female light ones are male

Marans have straight combs so if they have a pea comb they are a mixed breed more then likely. If they have a rose comb they are a Dominique.

Dark ones are female hun ,what I was referring to was mainly breed info the lighter ones I'm seeing some cockerals need better pics for sex although double barring is a male trait yes but the ones with the small pea or rose combs are not marans...not pure anyway...im sorry if I'm confusing you I'm not trying to hun

And they think “bantams” or “bantys” are a breed too.

Darker one is definitely a cuckoo maran. Other maybe a barred rock?
