Maran VS Dorking

I have investigated both breeds (Golden Cuckoo Maran & Silver Gray Dorking) for a while but they both seem like a great choice for my homestead (flock-friendly, predator savvy, and docile).
Which breed should I pick?
Has anyone had one of these breeds before?

my plans are to have a more smaller docile flock in a 4 X 8 coop & run (with 2 acre fenced foraging). And I would prefer only one of these breeds...
