Marans and Ameraucanas

And yet again. Too late. Sigh.

Good thing my friend has eggs in the bator for me and I pick up ducklings this weekend or I would be really sad. lol

Wisechicks must have gotten busy with the holidays and forgot to pay for her eggs. They won't keep in any case...so I have PM'd those who have expressed an interest but will also repeat here...

Golden cuckoo marans eggs $45 and $15 shipping which is significantly lower than usual as I don't want to start a bator at Christmas to New Years.

Anybody not under snow and ready to give it a try?

I so wish I had an incubator... I wouldn't even know where to buy one this weekend.

Paso,

Full blown winter here in Vermont, three feet of snow so far. Last winter topped out with a total of 12 feet. I expect no less this year. It looks like you have some lovely birds. That said, I sure would like to get a combo pack of eggs in March, golden cuckoos, Fav's and your Ameraucanas.

I have some cuckoo marans pullets who are just staring to lay, no boy for them, but I'd like to put a golden in with them. My girls are starting to lay some nice dark eggs.

Jody,

We ate those eggs for breakfast but I can get you fresh ones today.

I don't like to ship eggs that are more than 3 days laid.

I can no longer include the Ameraucana eggs as I have prepaid orders to fill now and we ate the ones that wise chicks didn't pay for after she sent a note saying she would pay today. Too long to hold them as they were laid the 20th and 21st.

The Marans are laying like crazy but the Ameraucanas are hit and miss with the weather changes.

I had really wanted the Ameraucana eggs as much as the Marans. I think I will still buy them, but if by chance you still have any Ameraucana eggs (even if a bit old) I would love to try them. I love the blue/green eggs. I understand that you don't like to send older eggs, but I would risk it. I know they may not be as viable, but I would try it. Heck, when my chickens were massacred by dogs, I took some out of the fridge and hatched them.
