Marans and Ameraucanas

I just PM'd you.... I got to Kinko's to pay, and saw the messages. (Sorry, had to go to the bank on my late lunch and then to Kinkos. I cannot do these transactions from a gov't computer, and I have no internet at home.)

I hope my eggs made a decent breakfast....

Long unecessary message deleted. Wise chick got her eggs and I got my money... all is well that ends well.

Neckie has been setting on those BEAUTIFUL Ameraucana eggs for 8+ days now. Sometimes it seems like day 21 will never arrive. I'm going out right now to put a hot towel over her eggs and let her exercise before the sun goes down. I am so hoping for at least 4 of the 6 remaining eggs to hatch.

I think the only reason I'll ever get a bator is for your eggs Melissa... they really are something special.

Mahonri,

It is so sweet of you to care for Neckie and the eggs with such tenderness. Sometimes people forget that the setting chicken is not an incubator and still has need of exercise and nourishment.

I am grateful that you are doing all you can to make these eggs live and am determined to see you have these beautiful chickens whether it works out perfectly this time or not.

Blessings,
Melissa

I am at work but my son is home. He just told me that the postman delivered what appears to be a box of eggs!!

Eggs arrived in beautiful shape and went into the bator right after lunch yesterday. We are counting down to 20 Jan 09. New chicks, new president... what an exciting day!

Don'tcha just love it when everything works right? Now which one of you got the box that has chicken poo inside the lid??? I mailed it because I could not find another box ANYWHERE and got home from the PO to find 250 priority mail boxes sitting under my mail box (I ordered 25) too funny!

I got the special box. There is some dirt on the eggs to. I tried gently brushing it off, but it's stuck pretty good. Should I worry about that, or just put them in the bator as is?
Thanks,
Jody
