Thank you for the welcome. I bought these as chicks along with welsummers, barnevelders, and penedesencas. I think the welsummers and the marans are my favorites although none are particularly friendly with me unlike the buff orps and RIRs I have in with them. The penedesencas were maniacs from the get go and I have them on my "never to do again" list.
I am not a show person, but do not want to raise poor quality regardless of that fact.
