Marans in NWA?

Looking for 1 black or copper Marans hen or pullet. Will replace my retired black marans. Shes 7 years old and has pretty much stopped laying. New hen will become part of well kept small backyard flock in West Fork-Winslow area.

I don't have a hen for you, but I'm impressed to hear your hen is 7! We just massively downsized our flock and I kept a few 2 1/2 year olds that I just can't part with (rooster & a few hens). We keep wondering how long they'll live and how long they'll lay eggs.

I hope you find a hen. I just sold some of my extra BCMs, but I'm not near you, anyway.

I have had hens live 9 to 10 years. Free range during day and up at night. Lots of good food ,greens . I use red cell in their water. Also good skin care. Try to keep mites off them. They arent stressed in winter.
