Mornin' all

Raven1 ~ Boy, you and me both!! Spring is getting closer by the day, just not fast enough! More snow coming in tonight and tomorrow. "Measurable" snow, I hate it when they say that, that means anything from 4" - 18"

Our Cuckoo Marans has stopped laying like that, we did end up treating her for mights-she is also missing feathers and we are thinking that she is molting and around 10 months old.

That sounds about right. Mine molted for two months right about that age - - - I didn't see too many missing feathers - - BUT they quit laying for a couple of months. Since then, they have been laying like crazy.

Yeah. I moved my chickens all to our new coop this weekend. Well, they haven't laid since. Its been 3 days. Not a single egg out of 4 hens.

My big hen Ginger already molted and looks great, the others have not so this might be going on.

If its just the new coop and adjustment any idea on how long before they start laying again?

I can count on no eggs for 2 weeks after I move the Marans...They are in protest of being moved to an unfamiliar place!

Yep.....I need the space and they didn't have any takers so off they go to Mel. 1 pure Davis Blue Copper (I believe its a pullet) and 2 Blue Coppers from Bill cross a Splash Davis pullet, and a couple of Wellie pullets, but I am keeping the little olive eggers.

I just went into lockdown ( on day 19 instead of 18 . . .like I was trying to do yesterday). This means you can post pictures so that I can get drool all over the computer instead of getting impatient over the last 3 days of my incubation period . .. . .

Yippe. . Post quickly because it is already driving me nuts.
I really am not that great at WAITING . . ..
