Oh, yes. Lots of snow. I just called in to let them know I can't make it in to work tonight. It drifts really bad here.

Illia-LOVE the pics of the birds. Such matronly ladies, especially with that big chest.

I'm kind of bummed right now. I saw an add on craigslist about some araucanas. I looked at the add. The pics were so obviously not araucanas I felt compelled to email and politely tell him. The birds had tails, muffs and no ear tufts. Sometimes people post the wrong picture and stuff like that so I thought he might appreciate knowing. I was very polite about it, but he emailed back and said "it was" which I assumed he meant my email was offensive. I again emailed and said I was sorry it was not my intention, I gave him some other information as well as links to the araucana breeders website and to BYC. I even gave him my name. I just got another email from him accusing me of flagging his add to get it deleted.

I see ads all the time like that, but luckily I've never had anyone call me rude or get offended. The only one who did get offended was a guy who was selling Easter Eggers by using/stealing Speckledhen's Ameraucana photos.

I've been watching your Shamos as well, they are great! Is there a Black Breasted Red Shamo? There is isn't there? But I didn't know they came in Wheaten. I love them! You must get such a joy out of watching them around the farm.

Hi everyone!! I am new to BYC and do not know a lot about chickens or chicken terminology.

I have two very spoiled pet roosters. Archie is a Buff Orpington and Nugget is apparently a FBCM. I have read there is not a bantam version of Marans available to the public. Please look at the pics of Nugget and tell me what you think. I will give you his story later. His value as a pet is immeasurable but I would like to know if he could be shown or bred. He weighs 3lbs and is 1 yr. old.

He kept falling asleep while we were trying to take pics.

The pictures of his legs did not come out well but they are feathered all the way down to his outer toe.
