I didn't write time sensitive on the box....but I will start that from here on. I did however put HATCHING EGGS all over the box, but I don't remember if it was black or blue..or bright pink? I know I did big bold PINK letters on the top of the box under your address: HATCHING EGGS

HANDLE WITH CARE

Thanks Kim, they should be here tomorrow. Wish they would bother scanning the delivery confirmation numbers, but they are not required to until the actual delivery. I put in another trace...I'll bug the crapola out of them!

I thought that I read somewhere on here that you should not label your package as containing eggs, just because some looser in the postal service might be hateful and "go postal" on the package, handling it roughly...

I did quit labeling mine... I don't know whether it makes a diff or not... I figure anonymity is my friend... If they don't know what it is it... Some postal workers hate eggs...no joke... My local office down here... they get real hardened at the very mention of shipping eggs... I was careful to show them my shipping method...this new try it... They were lukewarm at first but warmed up and helped me package when they realized I cared that he other packages didn't get gooey...

Mel,

There is always that chance, especially these days when the PO is getting rid of so many offices, postmasters, and carriers. However, there are still may at the PO that take their jobs seriously and perform as they should. If it is just marked Priority with no note of what's inside, the packages can get curtailed for several days if the parcel load is heavy. I was a rural carrier for 8+ years, and I always took charge of the chickens and eggs that came into our office, and would call the customer, go off route, and deliver them first if they couldn't come in. Hang on to your hats folks, because they are making MAJOR cuts in the postal system, and this is going to get MUCH WORSE in the very near future!

I hold out faith that there are postal workers out there that still care about how the mail is delivered.
