The thing about the other carriers (other than USPS) for boxes is that they don't pay NEAR the attention that USPS does for "this side up" - I've known folks that worked at Fed Ex and UPS, both have said the same thing; they're pretty rough on boxes, routinely throwing them about....

I was told they only scan priority when they receive it to send and then when it gets to the last PO. They don't scan in between. Its not really a track, its confirmation that it was sent and received.

On the other hand, I got a call at 5am, telling me my "hatching eggs" were in the main hub, not at my PO. I told them to send it on, I wasn't going to travel that far to pick up eggs. Of corse, then I was up and couldn't get back to sleep.....no not Marans eggs, Lavandar Orps....my new obscession.

Good hatching vibes to you. I have lav/split blk mature hens and a couple roos. I am gonna try to pick up a pure lav roo at the Newnan Show this weekend

He will be a spoiled boy.

Congrats on your eggs Debbi.

Also gonna look for a good marans roo at the Newnan show LOL! At least better than mine look now. I like my egg color but not how they look especially tail set. So hopefully can find a good FBCM roo while I'm there. My teen dd is actually wanting to go to the show with me soooo either she wants something or I have finally converted her to chicken lover HA!

Yeah!! Got my Pink eggs all unwrapped and resting. One, may have a crack in the pointy end, so I marked it and will watch it. Tried to take a pic of it, you may not be able to see it? Looks more like a dent than a crack, nothing was oozing, so I'm hoping it'll be ok. Can I put something over it like Super Glue or Liquid Bandaid, nail polish? Of course, it would be a BillxSplash egg! The rest look great, and I will set them in the morning. The pics I took really washed out the color, yes Kim, I'm pleased

I had to use a flash on the camera, as where I was unpacking was kind of dark. Can't wait for these little fuzzies!!!

I have a quick question.

I have some clean legged Cockoo Marans, Are they suitable for breeding or just for the eggs?
