edited to add: Just so you all know....no, he doesn't have roach back and this is not his normal stance. He normally is very alert and proud and not hunched up.

Thanks for the welcome! I love the look of the black copper marans. I see some come in "non feather legged" but isn't this supposed to be a feather legged breed?
I am assuming it is show and non show quality or a mixed breed bird?
I see lots of eggs for sale but being a newbie I would just rather get chicks but I think that is going to be difficult.
Don't mind paying for nice quality birds.
I have shown dogs for 17 yrs so I know about show vs pet quality

Poor guy just hasn't gotten over that "hen pecked" look. I have seen men who spent much of their lives in this same position...
