low pathogenic Avian Influenza - -

The Avian Influenze thing is very scarry !
There is no vaccine for it - - CORRECT ?

I sure hope some body is working on developing one. It would be a horrid shame to see the chicken flocks of the WORLD wiped out because of it. Talking about a disaster . . . That would qualify with no problem.

Add to that the possibility that it can be transmitted to Human beings AND we will have even more trouble trying to get backyard chicken hobbies legalized through the local ordinances.

This is from (World Organization for Animal Health- the world's leading authority on animal disease control etc.)website click on the link about THE USE OF VACCINATION AS AN OPTION FOR THE CONTROL OF AVIAN INFLUENZA It is a PDF file

http://www.oie.int/en/for-the-media...n-animal-species-by-vaccination-if-necessary/

You can also go to WHO or the CDC and type in avian influenza to get accurate information.

Apparently there are human avian flu vaccine trials going on and being reported to to WHO (World Health Organization) here is a link.

I have a half dozen of my own eggs going into lockdown today AND yours ( Keara) will go into lockdown in less than 2 weeks

Do you candle? I had a hard time with my eggs so far; too dark to see with the light I have. I found that the only way to judge development was to look at the aircell. No aircell = no development. I wait til day 10 to look for the aircell. Keep me updated!
