Ooooo, crawdads! I'm originally from the east coast and was raised on fresh lobster. Crawdads are the closest thing to that out here!

The first time I took my kids fishing at a boat landing when we first moved here to MO, my son at 4, caught a HUGE crawdad on his line! He swung it up on shore and exclaimed, "Look Mom!! I caught a lobster!!!!"

Close, but no cigar. But I did have to boil up the lone crawdad for him for supper! Too cute!

Boy you guys sure kept the thread moving today!

I took the 3 chicks that we hatched from Pink's eggs to visit DS(6)'s kindergarten class today and the kids had fun holding and petting them! They are 2 weeks old today and getting along great- we added the 3 week old Andalusian to the group and all are getting along!

Thanks Math! It's always cool to hear others stories!
Must say I've lived in WI all my life and probably always will- especially since we have our own business and DH likes snow!

That first photo makes her look like a roo...but the second photo I am seeing a pullet and seeing some Bill characteristics. She looks like Billie in the head area. And wanna know something that is going to make you crazy???? I can't tell if she is black or if she is blue.

Maybe someone else can see her better on their monitor....but I will say this....if you see lacing and you think she is blue then girlfriend...she is probably blue. One of those sneaky little peeps that may appear to be a light black but is truly blue. If'n you find that you just can't stand her you can send her back here to me

......I'd just end up tossin' her in with Gnarles.

Hey, Pink...
Did you see where I tried to con Wynette into sending me "Jethro", her blue Jersey Giant Roo? Come to find out, Jethro is no more and she basically told me to "Dream On" ...this thread has been lively today...

FYI..over a foot of new snow in the Cascades today...and Crater Lake in Oregon has already had over 615 inches...
