Actually, I hope it's a heifer (more $$$$), and when it is standing it looks more feminine (at least to me). I'll spend some time watching it today and when it makes water I'll know for sure!

Thanks Debbi. She has been laying eggs like these for a while, she used to lay them only on occasion with normal colored eggs inbetween, now she lays these all the time.

Maybe she does need a new ink cartridge.

Mel you crack me up!!!

Mel, go out into the pasture with a knife or bander. If it's a heifer, she'll just stand there.

I sure don't miss those days of having to dodge mama Angus while cutting the bull calves!!

The Golden Cuckoos aren't "rare" per se, but finding a properly colored one, with feathered shanks may be hard to find.

When I was a kid I got "tossed"

by a mean momma cow and I can remember it like it was yesterday....I'll just watch and wait from the fence, thank-you!

What?? You didn't like playing Superman??

Have you seen that State Farm commercial where the Buffalo rams the guys' car?? Old mama Angus put a really nice dent in the passenger door one time, and guess who the passenger was?

Also had to outrun a few others. Thank God for pickup trucks!!

Was a glorious day here yesterday, and today is the same! Got to get some pics of the 8 1/2 week olds. Geebs would be proud, they are all low riders!
wee.gif
They were very light downed as chicks, and now are all black with the exception of a few white wing tips that are filling in, and two of them already have some decent coppering. Trying now to integrate the 5 1/2 week old roo, "Solo" who was a lone hatcher. Sure don't want another Pip incidence on my hands!! Pip is still a bird without a country when it comes to being buddies or lover with any chicken! Solo looks exactly like Clyde at this age, so I'm guessing that's who his daddy is!

Glorious day here yesterday too Debbi...and the day before. If it doesn't rain today it will be the first time this spring we have gone more than 2 days without rain.

I should ask Mel for a toecast.

After having these 2 lowriders that I have and watching them grow, I can understand why geebsie loves them so. They are adorable with their stumpy little selves.

The little Blue Copper roo I have has excellent copper already at 2 mos. old but has a STUPID COMB!!!!!!!!
