You might try putting a little mineral oil on the chick feed, it will lubricate it, and hopefuly let the poop "slide" out without sticking...
You can't use cooking oil because it will be absorbed by the chicks body and not lubricate the poop. Mineral just goes in and out....so lubricates the poop.
