Pinkchick, If you don't mind paying the shipping, you can have Pretty Boy. I've never shipped a bird before, the thought scares me...

Oh you are too sweet Stoopid, thanks, but I have a Black Birchen roo coming to me....the gal I am getting him from and I just have to find the time to get together. I have a bird that throws Birchen so I am going to breed this new guy over some of my Blue Copper gals that do not show any copper that came from my roo that throws Birchen to see what will happen. I absolutely loved the look of my Splash boy that turned out to be Birchen, but he also turned out to be a pooh.

This was my Dale, I beieve he was split for both colors because he showed copper and silver, he started trying to attack me through the fence for a couple weeks and forget me trying to go into the coop...man was he a snot, beautiful, but a snot. I had a hard time making the decision to cull but I just couldn't bring myself to breed a mean rooster. It was a Total Bummer!

This is LaMar LaRue My 8 month old Splash Maran He is the best rooster the girls love him.

LaMar is very pretty! Do you have a closer photo of him? I am not sure and maybe Gilavina can help out here but he looks to be Birchen to me and if he is ........I AM SO JEALOUS! I had a Birchen Splash roo and he was very pretty but he turned into not a nice guy at about 6-7 mos of age, I am glad your guy is nice.

Thanks for posting a photo of him. Tennessee looks beautiful too!

Sorry thats the best my cell phone can do. Kids broke my camera. The sunlight seems to make him look yellow. He is bleach white with grey spalshes some of his tail feathers are white with grey shafts. After the fog has lifted I'll take a better picture out of the sun. Then his wet feathers will be fluffy again I'll get one of my BCM hen too she is a doll. I lost 2BCM and 1 Ameraucana hens over the weekend. Dogs are not welcome in my yard! So I'm looking for some more BCM hens {FS} hard to find here. Found some sad looking BCM hens almost all black and no feathers on thier legs I passed at $15 each. My collection of hens goes: 5 Easter Eggers,1 BCM, 2 Ameraucanas,3 Golden Comets, 5 RIR,7 Araucana's and LaMar. Not doing so well this year lost 6 hens/pullets so far this summer. I ended up with 20 rooster! LOL thats how I ended up with the RIR and comets. I traded 2 rooster for 1 pullet X10. He doubled his money at the fair and I got egg layers. So it worked out well.

I know, totally a wonderful offer that I appreciate greatly. Under other cirmcustances I would have jumped on it, but since I already have it lined up to get this other bird I must keep myself in check with the amount of birds I have. Feed prices are stupid and right now no-one over here is buying birds so I am sitting on about 20 extra birds that need to go. Good thing my nephew did some butchering weekend before last of all the excess cockerels that were ready. I hate being chicken feed poor, especially when they are molting and not laying.

I have a roo that looks like him. I thought he was splash, then he got very coppery, I haven't been working with him, so it's hard to handle him. I'm at work, don't have pics. Will snap some tonite, and post. Need to know if anybody wants him, or he gets eaten....
I am so confused with all these colors....

That's cool and we would love to see your BCM gal. Sorry about the loss of the others. I do like the look of your roo....though of course I am very partial to the Splash and the Blues as you all well know. Can't wait to see more of him.

Are you NPIP? and do you know about how much shipping would be? Oh and is pretty boy clean shanked? Not that I care about clean shanks as they are very easy to correct, just curious.

Clean legs, and I got him as an egg, I ordered from MPC. I THINK he is actually from Gabbard farms, and I believe they ARE NPIP.
Head spinning yet? And No, I'm not NPIP, but everytime I get my show birds tested, everyone comes up clean.
