I set smaller pullet eggs all the time...they hatch out just fine. My little Stoopid baby that hatched last week came from one of the smallest pullet eggs I can remember setting and Stoo is doing great!!!! And I couldn't believe that huge chick came out of that little tiny egg. Matter of fact the other Blue Laced Barnie project baby that hatched also hatched from a very small pullet egg.
Hatch Away my friend!
Hope your hubby feels better and you get rid of that crick!
I hatch pullet eggs all the time, just was not sure about marans.... Thanks

HAHA .
Hmm do you think if I seperated out some couples for the breeding pen, it would be enough time to clear out the 'old rooster's' semen to get chicks/fertile eggs from the new roos in time to set them for New Years? Then I gotta think of how I will hide the incubator. Hmmm maybe someone will go broody and I can just pull out the chicks after they hatch and stick them in the bator and act like its been out the whole time and dh was just blind

hahaha...uh oh!! Do we need to get you into a 12 step program stat?
I don't know if it will help....but I think we are safe for today (couldn't find anything I wanted) but day is young and somebody could put up a new auction.
Just looking for something fun to add to the layer pen maybe. Possibly a breed I've never had.
Would jump all over some more BLRW's if I found them.
