How about if we listed different parts of the Marans and listed the DQs and faults for each, maybe number in sequence toward being the worst. Let me know what you would like to see in a chart. We can also include what to look for as they grow out.

This would usually happen during very hot weather when the humidity would also be lower. this can be corrected if we set them in a box with out a bottom and set right on the ground.

Barb, If you never plan on showing it would not make a difference, we are just trying to show faults and DQs so the new people will know what to look for in the future. With all the breed I have ever had I believed in culling heavy and eliminatinh everything I could each year.

My only blue. If there's something wrong with him I'd sure like it pointed out. *Edited to add that now looking at the picture those hackles sure look light.
This guy has the best conformation out of any of the boys, but these two pics are why he's being culled.
