Wish the deer would leave me some persimmons!

Are you referring to the "cinammon wing triangle" on Wheaten roos?? It's only on the Wheaten (Blue or Black) roos, not on the Black or Blue Coppers. Do a search in the search box above for Wheaten Marans rooster, and it should show a pic. I believe Randy has quite a few pics on the Wheaten Marans thread too.

I'm just jumping in here in this conversation but a brown wimg bay or cinnamon triangle would be a sign of wheaten or duck wing I didn't have a chance to read back on the full question and I'm using my smartphone so forgive me if it's already been answered or if I'm way off base

Hi Randy, You're never off base here. He saw it was a DQ in BCMs, and guess he hasn't seen one yet. I posted a link to a pic of one, not your roo, couldn't see his the way he was standing, sorry.

Aww! No, hard to say right now. I could tell fairly well by about 6-8 weeks, and for sure at 10 weeks. Some of the males have smaller combs, more like a pullet's, so they are the tough ones to sex...until they crow!

the pullets will have more rounded crests too, once they start coming in. You will get soooo tickled at the funny stages these birds go through!

I truly don't have a clue. Zero experience with Silkies. But I do have an Ameraucana (Jean) in STIFF competition with "Ella" for my attention. I haven't got a CLUE at this point what sex either of them are!!!

("Jean" converts easily to "Gene" and "Ella" to "Elliot" - if need be - but I'm hoping their names will stick in both cases!)
