Do you have a pic of your "Mega Bator".

I ask because I am putting together a "wine-o-bator" this week....then its on to a multi-level brooder project . Taking my wine fridge and converting it to a bator. I received the IncuKit yesterday so now its project "game on" time tonight. It should hold about 70 eggs.

what does the kit look like? DH is going to be converting a wine refrig for us too- if he can ever find spare time

It looks awesome! Its an all in one(heater, fan, thermo) in a 4x4x3 inch package and the heat source is 150w. Incubator warehouse sells them.

I will post a pic of my project when I am finished.

thanks for the link, I'll be showing this to DH to see what he thinks. How many trays are you planning on putting in and are they going to be automatic?

You really don't want me to post any more pics, do you?
Actually, I got the plans on e-bay, it seems that he is a fellow peep here, Renegade Ridge farms.
He is in the egg swap thread.
I think it is supposed to be like the 1502, or something close to it.
I was going to buy a cheapie wine cooler thing, Target had them on sale for like $59.00, but the egg turner wouldn't fit in it.
Now, everything I look at has some kind of potential to be an incubator. I have a 25 yr old microwave in my basement, now I can't throw that out, either!

This is as far as have gotten.
I swear, if I start hatching 200 at a time, I'm gonna be in bigger trouble than I already am.
After it gets a little warmer outside, I will finish it.
I have chicks in almost every room in the house, all different ages.

wow, very cool looking, are you going to make a clear door so that you can wash off face prints all the time?

We had a rescue Irish Setter foster in here about this time last year and he would look into the incubator and watch with us when the eggs were hatching... never tried to destroy the bator or hurt the chicks but would watch, in fact he would hog the window if you let him- always wiping off drool

Thanks, I have been storing parts to make them. And why just make one, when TWO is better?
I am trying not to rush, so I don't have to keep modifying it every time I see something better.
The next one will be a hatcher. I got a larger piece of lexan for the door, and cut it half.
Now I have to route out the channel for the 'glas to sit in.
Have been using the crapbox for testing out my Marans, and, so far, they look good, no stupid combs, good feathering on the legs.

H&R's-

I will have two Little Giant auto turning trays plugged in. Each tray holds about 35 MARAN, MARAN eggs.

STOOPID-

I did read about the Renegade design.Thats a good custome design. I am hoping to ake that basic design and bring it to the 21st century by using a recycled wine cooler :-) But as you know some things are just best left alone. Anyways, I hope it works out like I plan. It will help out with my Maran breeding.
