Hi Marcy!

Could you get a photo of this guy with his wing outstretched and a full on front view of him? Also do you have a photo of the pullets with the excess color in their breasts? Anyway to get a photo of this guys sire while we are at it?

This definitely is a little cockerel.

OK, Here's the photos of him you requested:

edited to add: I have been back to look at him about 5 times now since I posted a response and he looks as though he has duckwing in him, such as Wheatens. Are you sure the parent birds are Blue Coppers?

I bought them as hatching eggs, they were sold as blue coppers. I did get only blue, black, and splash from the eggs. So seems like the seller was truthful.
Here's those 2 pullets:

Here's the cockerel. He was sick when this photo was taken, so he's not looking that good (very pale comb). I ended up culling him. He had a huge mass (tumor?) inside him

I'll take some more pics of the little cockerel and post later. Thanks for helping

Well, I am down to 6 BCM chicks now. I checked on them all at 11pm, right before bed,
and everyone was fine, running around like idiots as usual. Woke up at 5am and found
1 laying in the food dish with a broken neck. I have no idea what happened. It was
definitely a broken neck though, I could feel the cervical dislocation through the skin.

I'm starting to think that Missouri doesn't like me. Or is it that Missouri doesn't like me
having chickens? I've lost so many birds since moving back in September. It's ridiculous.

On a positive note, my self-blue Silkies have decided to start laying like crazy! So I have
turned the incubator back on. I only had it off for a week, LOL!

So I just finished loading the photos here in hopes that it would be easier than searching back for the post and I made a mistake and posted the 4th as a pullet and it is a male.

This is the other 2 males and the other pullet. The pullet is the the last photo and though you cannot see it she too has a nice red head but hers is darker than the males.

Nifty idea! I can't use something like that in my bator, not enough room. Need to get a Sportsman or make one of my own. Do you put a lid on them, or are they high enough that the chicks don't jump over them??

Yes! So far that I've seen here, if they have some grey fluff in with the yellow, they end up with some feathering, albeit, sparse, as in patchy.
