Ah Ha, thank you--I knew they were from somewhere.

Someone on a local CraigsList ad had that cockerel, the youngsters, some REALLY dark eggs, and some chicks pictured in their ad for $20 straight run chicks. Now, they don't actually STATE that the birds are theirs or the eggs came from their chickens...but there is an underlying assumption that they are...

yeah...someone here has been doing the same thing. i know who's photos she's using, but am having trouble finding an email to inform the owner of the stolen photos

Craig's List and Ebay are infamous for stolen pics!! That makes me so mad too! From now on, I am adding a watermark to all of my pics that go onto a public forum, with...wait for it....MY NEW CAMERA!!!

Got a great deal on a bundle, with a tripod, cleaning kit, and case!

YAY! on the camera!! I really hope I get lots to hatch too. Tonight will be day 13 1/2 and think I'm gonna try to candle again. I figure I'd rather see what else isn't developing than have them take up space in the hatching tray.

The hatcher is going to be delivered tomorrow finally! My uncle has had a rough last month...including getting sideswiped by a trailer in his car. So, it will be nice to have that. I think I'll use it for my lock down since it has the nice clear acrylic door! yay!

Its absolutely frozen today....the wind here is terrible! Even with that tho...my girls cranked out 16 eggs for me. I was proud of them and of course that meant treats!

What is a watermark on a photo? I have seen people post pics with their name across it. Is there a way to do this to existing photos? I'm PhotoShop illiterate. I've also seen people copyright their photos, what is involved to do that? Thanks, it seems like a wise idea with all the stolen photos on the internet.

Pink forgot yesterday was lockdown on your eggs! I tossed 6 more that were clear

I think they had a hard trip since 3 were cracked and 6 not developing at all. I hate that I can not see in these eggs

I needed that dang flashlight, BUT no it has not come and it has been over a month! Anyway, I put 4 marked Blue in and 1 from 96 and 2 from 92 and 2 from Splash. Now if they will just hatch and all be pullets

. I had a power outage too, but I have babies hatching now!

I had one blue copper Marans out and dry and another that had zipped 2/3 of the way and 1 EE out and dry and 1 Lav Am that died... he had a something hard at his navel the size of a grape maybe smaller WTH? Yesterday was really hatch day so they are a day, day and 1/2 behind yours will be too pink so it may not be till Monday or Tuesday before they hatch. I will give them plenty of time to hatch. I am leaving Friday for Newnan and will be back Saturday night so I may leave them over the weekend if they don't hatch by then. I have more going in on Saturday, I think they will go in on Sunday when I get back.

I already have 12 cuckoos to go in the bator. Man those girls lay better than my layers for eating eggs

I am taking lots of pics of my Homemade Super Sportsman Incubator LOL it will hold 540 eggs, 180 per tray. This one is not so easy on the pocketbook as the last one, but nothing like a sportsman

Hubby wants to take the guts out of my other incubator and make another one.... I can't fill the new one up much less two! I may start a thread and I will put the link on here if anyone wants to look.

I am thinking about making a brooder to fit the top of the incubator, what do you think? That way I can use the warmth of the incubator for new chicks.

well...candled the eggs again. Took out another 11, so, I'm down to 40. Overall, I guess that's not bad. There were a couple that were really dancing around in their eggs! It was pretty funny! Eggs will go to lock down on Wednesday of next week

Boy sometime 21 days drags on and sometimes it really get here quick! I have been so busy these hatches have just flown by for me.... for you... I am thinking NOT SO MUCH

I looked at my SLW yesterday (5 days I think) and saw 2 growing veins. I will check them again Sunday. The RIR I got local looked pretty good but just not much to look at right now. I have more to go in but hoping the new bator will be done tomorrow so we can test it then I can load it up Sunday.

yeah....this hatch being slow going is no lie! It always is for me with the first one of the year. I just can't wait to see babies! Especially since they are out of some of my favorite boys!

Most graphics software will allow you to write text on an image. Pick a light font and say whatever you want on anything you make public - like "KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY PICTURES!!". You can also get graphics software that will automatically watermark any image that is uploaded (Adobe Lightroom, for example) which is what I use. For real safety, make your mark diagonally across the picture, that way, the theives can't crop off your signature/watermark.
