welcome to the Marans thread! Yes, Walt's site is quite impressive!! I really would like to have that 1960? Impala! My Grandfather had a blue one in 1961, that pic brought back many memories! Love your pic with the cute duckies and child!

I love her irradescent glow in the feathers.

She looks more mahagony than copper in the hackles. I wonder if she is going to lay a REALLY DARK EGG?

How about the "U" shape on her back. What shape are the hens suppose to have ? ? What is proper for a hens tail ? ?
Looking at my girls today - - - all 4 are built different on the back shape and I don't know what is proper . . . .

Yes, MOST definately! You'd have to see him to believe him!

The French site refers to the "V" shape, this boy is it, plus deformed with a Quasimoto hump on his neck

But, he can crow and started at 8 weeks!
