How convenient!!

Have you heard of the books called THe Stupid Gene THeory? It's published every few years with new stories about how stupid people can be and the lethal consquences. Sad but also funny. How many woman do stupid things compared to men, esp teenage boys. IT's a wonder they survive. ANd mine are only 8 and 10! Sometimes I have to hold my breathe and pray. Selection of the least stupid, I guess.

Sorry to say this, but once they turn 13, they are ALL stupid! Stupid is a dominant gene, we've all been there at one point!

What keeps the good stuff in the gene pool is the one's that finally realize that what was once fun, WAS STUPID! Sadly to say, there are many out there that never learn. If only they were like chickens, and could be culled from the breeding stock!!

Yup, it's the Y chromosome effect!!! My brother still does sparklers, also illegal, and wants my boys to participate!!! Fortunately I still have sway at this age. Stay back 10 feet, and no lighting them!!! He sends the boys home with them.

Okay....here's the one photo that I could snap of Mr. Mr. today.
Blue Copper cockerel ...I think he hatched around mid Feb.
He is huge compared to his other hatch mates. Of course, I couldn't get a shot of his copper....yes he has copper, just not showing in this photo. Will try to get better photos of him tomorrow. I really like him.

I single mate and use one rooster per pen. I know which hen lays which egg so that makes it easy...but only if I mark the egg and segregate in the bator at hatch.

Day 19 and Broody Blue Copper Marans, Naima, actually got off her nest for a poop -- so I got to see the eggs!!!  Looking good ....
