I haven't been able to keep up with this thread at all, but so glad I checked in on time to see those pig photos!

I have a lone blue marans, 18 weeks old, but she has flecks of color all over, like splash markings. So, could someone tell me if she is blue, or splash, or blue with some off colors? I have nothing to compare to:

Yes! The Easter hatch.

I thought she was blue, but after looking at some photos in the auction listings, I now think maybe she is splash. It's the only Marans egg that hatched, so I am thrilled to have a girl, no matter what kind it is!

I have one that looks identical to her. I have been told she is a splash and a blue. Would like to know as well. She is a "1 a day" layer. She is also 9 pounds!!!

Ha! Our posts just crossed, just as I declared it splash. Do the blues commonly have those flecks of color?
