Ya, and I hope he doesn't decide to crow his first morning in the coop! Old Fuglee will be waiting for him for sure then! These older chooks are like a band of marauding gansters!

Aqua Lung will be in a tizzy then, and the pullets had better cover up their britches!

Maybe it would not be such a chore if there weren't 36 eggs.

I've been trying to do the 6 times a day turning that the auto egg turner would do - - - but OMG - - I do have other things that need to get done.

Why couldn't I just have a broody hen - - I don't care if they lay eggs if they are willing to sit on them !

From what I've seen, you only need to hand turn eggs 3x a day, more if you want to. When I bought my Little Giant bator with fan, the turner came with it. Total with the shipping = $107.00. You can buy the turners for about $60.00 or less. Either that, or kick hubby into gear on making you one! You can do your bonding once they hatch, but in the mean time life goes on. If something comes up and you are not there to turn them, well, you get my drift... And if you want a broody, from what I have read, your best bet is to get a couple of Silkie hens, they are dedicated brooders and mothers!
