Kim, that would not be a problem at all, Where the problem comes in is when someone breeds them back to BC and keeps the young for a BC program.Well since I breed for blue and not black and only use black for making blue, I see no problems keeping a black pullet or black male to use every now and then when breeding for blue.
that you do not see the white underfluff in your male. Some of them get it as early as 8 weeks, but the CH line I had didn't get it until they were much older. ANd, I had another line (Davis X Jeane) that didn't get them until he was almost 2. But - I would think that more times than not, they would appear much sooner. So - put me on your hatching egg list NOW, please - and keep me posted on the white underhackle feathering, okay?
