Some of morning hatch, still more to come. Two Marans flanked by Heritage RIRI. VIVI

Here's the first eggs and a repeat on Luella's from this week collected out of some of my pullets.



Luella's egg is the one marked with the number 2 in the bottom left, the one next to that with my messed up looking S is my first egg from my Silver Marans! Not bad at all! The others are all from coppers and birchens. The Ameraucana egg is for contrast and the egg in the back is my weird patterned one I got this week.

Yup, Ameraucanas, Sussex and Wyandottes in several Varieties.

Vicki, when I first saw the "S" egg, I thought that was a dollar sign! Laid by one of the BIG BUCKS girls!

They are off to a good start. That odd ball egg is familiar to me. Can't remember who laid it, but it was huge and very strangely marked. They are always a surprise! I found a pic of it. The odd one and the one on the right were jumbos!

haha....I have no idea what I was writing, but I started writing part of a W for the wyandotte pen next door to the Silvers, so tried to cover it with an S. I should have just crossed it out. I think the cold had gone to the brain haha! I'm excited about the color on those Silvers tho!
