Quote: The information I needed was there. Did you look at the link? Would there be more down the road? I would think most things are the same for the BREED and just updated for the COLOR. True?
for the most part yes, but there can often also be small nuances for color varieties that would be nice to have spelled out so that everyone can be on the same page for what the overall goals for breeding are. I'm speaking mostly for people newer to breeding poultry as I think it would help create a strong foundation for them to build on. Learning to breed to SOP isn't something that's picked up overnight, so just thought it makes sense to give people as much time as possible before a color variety is put up for a qualifying meet. The information I needed was there. Quote: Well my concern was the GOLD. I knew it was going to be a DQ but someone told me that was not the standard and gave me a link to the other club and they are posting the French Standards and it includes Straw Hackles in the roos as REQUIRED.... So confusing to have too many cooks in the kitchen![]()

The club usually say they intend to stick with the French standard as much as possible. So I assume that would be a good starting place, at any rate.
Wanted to ask how did you like the genetic book you purchased from overseas- Can't think of the name off the top of my head....Good point ... !![]()
