I'd wait for a second opinion, though, I could be wrong. All that white makes me think maransThank you! Thats what i was hoping for.
Are they from a hatchery? My hatchery cuckoo Marans chicks had the same color shanks. You can see the grown out color in my rooster a few posts backI thought BR first the thing that made me 2nd guess was i have 1 french cuckoo marans in the bunch and they have the same washed out pale skin color in comparison to the yellow legged breed they came with.
You will probably have to wait and see whether or not its legs turn white or stay yellow. When most chicks hatch they are all yellow legged for the most part and don't start getting their true leg color for a while. If they stay yellow, it's a barred rock. If they turn white/pink then it is a Cuckoo Marans. It's a cutie though!
A dozen eggs here can go anywhere from about $35 to $300, depending on bloodline and breederGosh marans over here are a very common breed. I bought 6 eggs, between 6 and 8 on the colour scale delivered for just £8. They are the same price as mixed bantam eggs.
